Essential Information for Booking
To ensure a smooth reservation process, please have the following ready:
Travel Details: Your intended rental dates and your preferred pickup/drop-off locations.
Documentation: You will need a valid driver's license (from your home country or a local LTO-issued license), a passport or government-issued ID, and a credit card for the security deposit.
Preparation: Once your booking is confirmed, our team will reach out one day before your scheduled arrival to provide coordination details and ensure everything is set for your pickup.
Is there a reservation fee for booking a Saferide rental vehicle?
Yes — a reservation fee confirms your booking and takes that specific unit out of our available fleet for your dates.
Self-drive and with-driver bookings carry a reservation fee of 20% to 100% of the total rental.
Tours and tour packages carry 50% to 100%, because these involve scheduling a driver, fuel, and route planning well ahead of your trip.
Where your booking falls in that range depends on the vehicle, the dates, and how far ahead you're booking. We'll give you the exact figure when we confirm, before you pay anything.
Cancel 7 or more days before pickup and the reservation fee comes back to you in full. Cancel closer to the date and the cancellation fee is taken from the reservation fee you've already paid — we don't bill you beyond it, and if your reservation fee was larger than the fee due, the difference is returned.
What is the cancellation policy for Saferide Car Rental?
What is the cancellation policy for Saferide Car Rental?
Travel plans change — we get it. What you pay depends on how much notice you give us.
Cancel 7 or more days before your pickup date and it's free. Your reservation fee comes back in full. You'll only shoulder whatever your bank or payment provider charges to process the transfer, which is out of our hands.
Inside that window, a cancellation fee applies:
| When you cancel | Fee |
|---|---|
| 7 or more days before pickup | Free — reservation fee refunded in full |
| 5 to 6 days before pickup | 20% of the total rental |
| 4 days before pickup | 50% of the total rental |
| 3 days or less, or a no-show | 100% of the total rental |
The reason the fee climbs is simple: once your booking is confirmed, that vehicle comes out of our available fleet and stays reserved for your dates. The closer we get to your pickup, the less chance anyone else can take it.
Need to reschedule instead? Often easier than cancelling, and we'd rather move your dates than lose you. Message us as early as you can and we'll check what's available.
Some bookings carry their own terms. Promotional rates, long-term leases, and custom tour packages may be non-refundable or have different rescheduling rules — if that applies to your booking, we'll tell you in writing when you reserve, not after.
To cancel or reschedule, reach our team on +63 917 540 0159 (also on WhatsApp), info@saferide.ph, or through our Contact Us page.
Who is responsible for transaction, refund, or finance processing charges?
Any transaction processing fees, bank finance charges, or administrative costs associated with payments, refunds, or currency conversions are the responsibility of the renter.
What this means for you:
Payment Processing: If your bank or payment platform (e.g., credit card issuers, international banks) charges fees for processing your rental payment, deposit, or any subsequent refund, these costs are applied by your financial institution and are not covered by Saferide Car Rental.
Refunds: In the event of a refund, the amount returned to you will be the net amount after any merchant processing fees or bank charges incurred during the initial transaction or the refund process itself.
We recommend checking with your specific bank regarding their international transaction or refund processing policies prior to booking to avoid any unexpected costs.
What payment methods are accepted by Saferide Car Rental?
For the rental itself: Visa and Mastercard credit cards, debit cards, cash, GCash, Maya, and PayPal. Prepaid reservations may qualify for a discounted rate — ask us when you book. Full payment is due at or before pickup.
For the refundable security deposit, it depends where you're based. Overseas visitors use a credit card, which we hold as a pre-authorisation — nothing is deducted, the amount is simply blocked and then released when you return the unit. Philippine residents can use a credit card, GCash, Maya, or a cash bond.
The credit card route is worth considering even if you have the cash: put the deposit on a card and your licence is the only document we need at the counter.
Please have the physical card and your ID with you at collection — our systems are encrypted and we verify both in person.
Can I get a refund for unconsumed rental time if I return the vehicle early?
At Saferide Car Rental, our rental rates are calculated based on the specific duration of your booking. To ensure vehicle availability and secure your requested model, we dedicate that vehicle to you for the entirety of your reservation.
Policy Details:
Non-Refundable: All unconsumed rental time resulting from an early return is non-refundable.
Reservation Commitment: Once a booking is confirmed, the vehicle is removed from our available inventory for the duration of your trip. As such, we cannot offer credits or refunds for any time unused should you choose to return the vehicle prior to your scheduled drop-off date and time.
Planning Tip: We recommend finalizing your travel dates carefully before confirming your reservation to ensure your rental period aligns perfectly with your itinerary.
What are the rental requirements for Saferide Car Rental (Self-Drive Cars and Motorcycles)?
Bring the originals — we verify them at handover, and a missing document forfeits the reservation.
If you're a Philippine resident putting the deposit on a credit card, your valid Philippine driver's license is the only document we need. The card secures the rental, so there's no proof of billing and no second ID to dig out. The card must be in the driver's name.
If you're a Philippine resident paying the deposit by cash, GCash or Maya, bring your Philippine driver's license, an original proof of billing or a company ID, and one additional government-issued ID.
If you're visiting from overseas, bring your home-country driver's license and your passport showing an arrival stamp from within the last 90 days. A license printed in English is fine on its own — you don't need an International Driving Permit. Only a license in another language needs an IDP or official English translation, carried alongside it rather than instead of it. Your deposit goes on a credit card.
Age: You'll need to be at least 21 to rent most of our fleet — that covers our scooters, the Wigo, Vios, Seagull, Avanza, Innova, Raize and Tamaraw. The Hiace vans, Fortuner and Hilux need a driver aged 30 or over. Drivers aged 21 and 22 can rent subject to approval, with a young driver fee — message us before booking and we'll confirm.
Payment: full rental payment is settled at or before collection, along with the refundable security deposit.
Does Saferide Car Rental offer unlimited mileage?
Yes, Saferide Car Rental offers unlimited mileage on most of our self-drive rental vehicles. When booking your car, SUV, van, or motorcycle, please review the specific terms and conditions for your selected vehicle and rental period to confirm if unlimited mileage applies to your reservation.
Does Saferide Car Rental accept debit cards for payment?
Yes, Saferide Car Rental accepts debit cards to settle the full rental payment. However, a valid credit card is generally required to hold the refundable security deposit at the time of vehicle collection. Saferide also accepts alternative electronic methods, such as GCash or Maya, for the deposit. If you require a cash deposit option, please contact our support team ahead of your rental date to make prior arrangements.
What is the fuel policy for Saferide Car Rental?
Saferide Car Rental operates on a standard "full-to-full" fuel policy. We will provide your self-drive vehicle with a full tank of fuel at the time of pickup. To avoid additional refueling charges, you must return the vehicle with a completely full tank.
Are there any additional fees when renting with Saferide Car Rental?
Our pricing is quoted up front, and these are the only extras that can apply:
Young driver fee — for approved drivers aged 21 and 22.
One-way fee — if you drop off at a different branch from where you collected. Depends on the route.
Delivery and pull-out fee — applies to all delivery and collection, including airports. Based on distance.
Out-of-hours fee — for self-drive pickups or returns outside branch operating hours, arranged in advance.
Add-on equipment — anything optional you request at booking.
Every applicable charge is itemised in your rental agreement before you sign. Fees are subject to change without prior notice, but never after your booking is confirmed.
Can I add an additional driver to a Saferide Car Rental agreement?
Yes, you can add an additional driver to your Saferide Car Rental agreement. To be authorized, the additional driver must meet all standard Saferide rental requirements (including minimum age limits and identification rules). They must also be physically present at the time of vehicle collection to present their original, valid driver’s license.
What should I do if I have an accident or my Saferide Car Rental vehicle breaks down?
If you experience an accident, vehicle breakdown, or any mechanical issues with your self-drive vehicle, please contact Saferide Car Rental's 24/7 roadside assistance immediately. You can reach our emergency support team at any of the following numbers:
Our team will provide immediate, step-by-step guidance on the next actions to take to ensure your safety and resolve the problem promptly.
What insurance coverage options does Saferide Car Rental offer?
Basic coverage comes standard with every rental: Collision Damage Waiver, Supplemental Liability Insurance, and Personal Accident Insurance.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) covers the vehicle's bodywork. You're responsible for a participation fee — the excess — which varies by category: ₱5,000 for motorcycles, ₱10,000 for economy cars and sedans, ₱20,000 for mid-size sedans, MPVs, minivans and pick-ups, and ₱35,000 for vans and SUVs.
By model: the Wigo, Vios, Seagull and Raize carry a ₱10,000 excess; the Avanza, Innova and Tamaraw ₱20,000; the Hiace vans, Fortuner and Hilux ₱35,000; and motorcycles ₱5,000.
CDW covers bodywork only. Damage to windows, wheels, the undercarriage, the interior, EV batteries, personal belongings, or rental accessories such as GPS units and child seats is yours to cover in full, along with towing and administrative charges. If a renter is found negligent, further costs including loss of use may apply on top of the excess.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) covers third-party property damage up to ₱100,000 and third-party physical injury up to ₱100,000.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) covers accidental medical costs, emergency care, and accidental death up to ₱50,000 per person — for the driver and passengers of a car. It does not cover motorcycle renters, so if you're taking a bike, please arrange your own cover.
Want zero excess? You can buy full protection through our partner RentalCover when you book.
Can I purchase comprehensive car rental insurance through Saferide Car Rental?
Yes, while standard Saferide Car Rental rates include basic insurance, you can purchase additional, full-protection car rental insurance for complete peace of mind during your self-drive trip. We partner with RentalCover to provide comprehensive coverage options, including zero-deductible policies.
Please visit the following link to review the coverage details and purchase your RentalCover car rental insurance policy:
Can I return my Saferide Car Rental vehicle after normal business hours?
Yes, Saferide Car Rental accommodates after-hours returns for self-drive cars, SUVs, vans, and motorcycles at many of our locations. Please note that an out-of-hours fee will apply for this service. You must contact our support team in advance to schedule the late drop-off so our personnel can prepare for your arrival and ensure a secure turnover of the vehicle.
How do I extend my Saferide Car Rental period?
If you need to extend your self-drive rental period for a car, SUV, van, or motorcycle, you must contact the Saferide Car Rental customer support team before your current rental agreement expires.
All extensions are strictly subject to vehicle availability and are not guaranteed. If your extension is approved, the additional time will be billed at the applicable daily rate and may incur additional charges. Please reach out to us directly through our official contact channels to submit an extension request.
Does Saferide Car Rental offer one-way rentals?
Yes, Saferide Car Rental offers one-way rentals between many of our locations. Please note that an additional charge applies if your drop-off location is different from your pickup location. Be sure to specify your exact drop-off destination at the time of booking to confirm service availability and calculate the final rate.
How much is the refundable security deposit for Saferide Car Rental?
The amount depends on the vehicle you book, and we confirm it before your rental date — it's stated in your rental details so there are no surprises at the counter. Motorcycles are a flat ₱5,000.
It's taken at vehicle collection and returned to you when the unit comes back safely. Overseas visitors settle it by credit card pre-authorisation; Philippine residents can also use GCash, Maya, or a cash bond.
We release the hold the moment the vehicle is returned. Banks typically take 7 to 15 business days to reflect that in your available balance, which is on their side rather than ours.
Can local residents pay a cash-only security deposit for a Saferide Car Rental?
Yes, local residents can choose to pay their refundable security deposit in cash. To qualify for a cash-only deposit, local renters must hold a valid Philippine Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver's License and present the following additional documents upon vehicle collection:
Proof of Address/Employment: A current, original proof of billing (e.g., utility bill) OR a valid Company ID.
Secondary Identification: One (1) additional valid government-issued ID.
Please ensure all documents are physical originals, as lack of proper requirements will forfeit your reservation.
Does Saferide Car Rental offer vehicle delivery to my location?
Yes — to airports, piers, hotels, resorts, homes, and offices.
Delivery and collection carries a fee based on distance, wherever you want the vehicle brought.
Give us at least 24 hours' notice where you can. We can often accommodate short-notice requests depending on fleet availability, so it's worth asking either way.
For airport and pier handovers, send us your flight or ferry number when you book. We track arrivals in real time and adjust for delays, so our representative is waiting when you actually land rather than when you were scheduled to.
Can foreign nationals drive in the Philippines using a foreign driver’s license?
Yes. A valid driver's licence from your home country lets you drive here for 90 days from your most recent arrival date.
If your licence is printed in English, that's all you need. No International Driving Permit, no translation, nothing to arrange before you travel.
If your licence is in another language or script, bring an International Driving Permit or an official English translation from your embassy or consulate. Carry it together with your original licence — the IDP translates your licence rather than replacing it, so one without the other isn't enough.
Staying longer than 90 days? You'll need a Philippine licence from the Land Transportation Office to keep driving legally.
Always carry your original licence with you when driving, along with your passport.
What is the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Participation Fee (Excess) for Saferide Car Rental?
If your rental vehicle sustains bodywork damage, the Participation Fee (also known as the "excess") is the maximum amount you are responsible for paying toward repairs, provided you adhere to the terms of your rental agreement.
The Participation Fee varies by vehicle category:
| Vehicle Category | Participation Fee (Excess) |
| Motorcycles | ₱5,000.00 |
| Economy Cars & Sedans | ₱10,000.00 |
| Mid-Size Sedans, MPVs, Minivans, & Pick-up Trucks | ₱20,000.00 |
| Vans & SUVs | ₱35,000.00 |
Important Coverage Notes:
Bodywork Only: This fee applies strictly to vehicle bodywork.
Exclusions: This coverage does not include damage to windows, wheels, the vehicle interior, the undercarriage, or EV batteries. It also excludes towing charges, administrative fees, and damage to personal belongings or rental accessories (e.g., GPS, child seats).
Negligence Policy: Please note that if a renter is found to be negligent, additional costs—including loss of use (downtime costs)—may be charged separately from the standard Participation Fee.
Policy Note: All fees are subject to change without prior notice.
Can I transport my Saferide Car Rental vehicle to another island?
Yes — and it's one of the things that makes us different. Most rental companies in the Philippines won't let their units leave the island. We will, by RORO ferry, as long as you get our written approval first.
Here's how it works. Tell us your route and dates at least 24 hours before you sail. We'll issue your authorisation letter and prepare the vehicle's OR/CR registration documents, because the shipping line will ask for both at the terminal and won't load the unit without them. No approval, no paperwork, no crossing — and taking a unit across without it breaches your rental agreement.
What you cover: ferry fares, terminal fees, port charges, and any handling or shipping costs on both ends.
What you should seriously consider: marine insurance, and ask us for it when you request approval. Your standard rental cover doesn't follow the unit onto the ferry — while the vehicle is in transit or at sea, you carry full financial responsibility for it. Marine insurance isn't included and isn't mandatory, but it's the difference between a bad day and a very expensive one.
We arrange it for you. Don't plan on buying it at the pier — it isn't reliably available at every port, and turning up hoping to sort it there is how people end up crossing uninsured. Just tell us you want marine cover when you send us your route, and we'll process it before you sail.
One more thing: our roadside assistance can't reach you while the vehicle is in transit. It picks back up the moment you're on the road again.
Wherever you sail to, the unit comes back to an authorised Saferide branch. Ask us about one-way drop-offs if that's not where you started.
What is the airport "Meet & Greet" arrival procedure for Saferide Car Rental?
Saferide Car Rental provides a seamless, curbside "Meet & Greet" service designed to get you from touchdown to driving away in 10 minutes or less. Our process is as follows:
Step 1: Flight Monitoring: Our operations team tracks your flight in real-time. We automatically adjust our representative’s schedule for early arrivals or flight delays.
Step 2: Arrival Meet-Up: After clearing baggage claim, proceed to the arrival gates. Look for our representative holding a Saferide Car Rental sign with your name. No shuttle buses or off-site office visits are required.
Step 3: Documentation & Inspection: At the curbside or designated parking bay, our representative will perform a quick verification of your ID and driver’s license. We will process your security deposit hold via mobile POS and conduct a joint vehicle walk-around.
Step 4: Digital Contract: Review and sign your rental agreement electronically on our tablet. A digital copy will be sent to your email or WhatsApp immediately.
Step 5: Handover: Once the keys are handed over, you are ready to drive away.
Do I need approval to drive between cities on the same island?
No. If you're staying on one island, just go — Cebu City down to Moalboal and Oslob, Bacolod across to Dumaguete, Iloilo out to Miag-ao or up to Carles. No paperwork, no notice, and unlimited mileage on most self-drive units.
It's only a ferry crossing that needs our written approval. One thing to flag, though: if you're heading well outside the province, drop us a message anyway. Our agreement asks for written notice on out-of-province trips, and it protects you — without it, any engine or mechanical trouble on that trip is at your cost.
Which island routes do people usually take?
The crossings our guests ask about most:
- Cebu to Bohol — via the Argao–Loon or Cebu–Tubigon RORO routes. Pick up in Cebu City or Mactan, drop off in Panglao, or run the loop back.
- Bacolod to Iloilo — the Bacolod–Dumangas route across the Guimaras Strait, roughly an hour and a half on the water.
- Iloilo to Guimaras — short hop from Iloilo City, popular for the mango farms and the beaches.
- Cebu to Negros — via Tampi–Santander, connecting to Dumaguete.
Since we have branches on both ends of most of these, a one-way rental is often simpler than ferrying a unit back. A one-way fee applies and depends on the route. Tell us where you're starting and where you want to finish and we'll work out which is cheaper for you.
How long is a rental day, and what if I'm late back?
A rental day is 24 hours from your scheduled pickup time, not a calendar day — so a 2:00 PM Monday pickup runs to 2:00 PM Tuesday.
Running late? Extra hours are charged at one sixth of the daily rate per hour. Once you're more than 6 hours past your return time, a full additional day applies, so if you're going to be properly late it's usually cheaper to extend properly.
To extend, contact us before your current agreement expires. Extensions depend on whether the unit is already booked after you, so earlier is better. Returning the vehicle early doesn't earn a refund for unused time — the unit was held for your full booking.
Can I use a Saferide rental for Grab, ride-hailing, or deliveries?
No. Our vehicles are for private use, and carrying passengers or goods for commercial purposes — ride-hailing, TNVS, courier or delivery work — isn't permitted under the rental agreement. Insurance for a private rental doesn't extend to commercial operation, so this protects you as much as it protects the unit.
If you need a vehicle for business use, talk to us about long-term leasing or a business account instead. That's a different arrangement with the right paperwork behind it, and we set those up regularly.
Are there places I'm not allowed to take the vehicle?
Our units are for paved and maintained public roads. That covers essentially everywhere you'd want to go, including the mountain routes — Cebu's Transcentral Highway, Don Salvador Benedicto above Bacolod, the climb to Valencia outside Dumaguete — all paved and all fine.
What isn't covered is driving onto unpaved tracks, river crossings, beaches, or any road impassable to a standard vehicle. If you get stuck somewhere a car shouldn't have been, recovery costs are yours.
Match the vehicle to the route. Sedans and hatchbacks are built for flat and city driving. For steep climbs or rough provincial roads, book an SUV or pick-up — better ground clearance and proper engine braking on the way back down. Ask us if you're unsure about a specific destination; we drive these roads constantly and we'll tell you straight.
How is the rental duration calculated for "with-driver" services?
To ensure clarity and efficient scheduling, our rental duration is defined as follows:
Start of Rental: The rental period begins promptly at your scheduled pickup time, as indicated in your booking confirmation.
End of Rental: The rental period concludes at the time specified in your finalized rental agreement.
Punctuality: We recommend being ready at your pickup location at the scheduled time to ensure you get the full value of your rental period.
What is included and excluded in my Saferide "With-Driver" rental package?
Our "With-Driver" service is designed to provide you with a professional and stress-free travel experience.
For a complete and specific breakdown of inclusions (such as fuel and professional driver services) and exclusions (such as parking fees, toll fees, entrance fees, driver accommodations, and meals), please refer to the "Inclusions & Exclusions" section on the individual product page of your chosen vehicle or tour package.
This ensures you have the most accurate information tailored to your specific booking.
How may I use my Saferide "With-Driver" rental vehicle?
Our "With-Driver" service is designed to provide you with a seamless and stress-free travel experience. You can use your rental for various purposes, including airport transfers, corporate travel, city tours, or provincial excursions.
To ensure the best experience, please keep the following in mind:
Professional Chauffeur: All driving and vehicle operations are handled exclusively by your assigned Saferide chauffeur. We kindly ask that you allow them to manage all routes, parking, and vehicle handling.
Intended Use: Vehicles must be used for lawful purposes only. Please refrain from using the vehicle for any activities that violate local laws or company policy.
Itinerary & Routes: Your itinerary should be discussed and finalized with your driver or our operations team. If you decide to change your destination or add stops during your trip, please coordinate this with your driver to ensure it falls within the authorized travel scope and time.
Vehicle Care: We strive to keep our vehicles in top condition for your comfort. We kindly ask that you maintain the cleanliness of the interior during your trip.
Custom Requirements: If you are planning an out-of-town trip or have a complex schedule, please inform us during your booking so we can coordinate your itinerary and ensure your driver is fully prepared.
Need assistance with your itinerary? If you have special travel plans or need to coordinate a complex schedule, please contact our team via our Contact Us page. We are happy to help you tailor your trip for maximum comfort and efficiency.
What should I do if I need to use the Saferide "With-Driver" vehicle for purposes or destinations not specified in my initial agreement?
We understand that travel plans can be dynamic. If you need to add stops, extend your travel time, or visit locations not previously discussed, please follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:
Coordinate with Your Chauffeur: In many cases, minor itinerary adjustments (such as an extra stop along your route) can be coordinated directly with your assigned driver, provided they align with our safety and operational policies.
Contact Operations: For major changes—such as extending your rental duration, changing your final destination, or adding out-of-town legs—please contact our operations team immediately. This allows us to update your booking, verify vehicle availability, and provide you with an updated quote for any additional services.
Approval Requirement: Please note that all itinerary changes are subject to driver availability and vehicle scheduling. Any changes that incur additional costs (such as extended hours or extra fuel) must be authorized by our team before the service proceeds.
Why this is necessary: We prioritize your safety and the efficient scheduling of our fleet. By keeping our team informed of changes, you ensure that your driver remains properly supported, that the vehicle stays within safe operational parameters, and that you receive the most accurate billing for your updated itinerary.
What are the passenger and baggage limits for my Saferide "With-Driver" rental?
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. To ensure the vehicle operates safely and provides a smooth ride, we strictly adhere to the following capacity guidelines:
Manufacturer Capacity: Passenger and baggage limits are determined by the vehicle's manufacturer specifications. Please ensure your group size and luggage volume do not exceed the capacity of the vehicle you have booked.
Safety First: For your safety, we cannot accommodate passengers beyond the vehicle’s legal seating capacity (including children and infants).
Baggage Management: Please consider the volume of your luggage when selecting your vehicle. While we strive to fit all your gear, items that do not fit safely within the trunk or designated storage areas cannot be carried inside the passenger cabin.
Vehicle Selection: If you anticipate having a large group or significant amount of luggage, please let us know during the booking process. We would be happy to recommend a vehicle upgrade (such as an SUV or Van) to ensure everyone travels comfortably and safely.
Travel Tip: If you are unsure if your luggage will fit in a specific vehicle model, please feel free to reach out to us. Our team can provide the trunk dimensions or advise you on the best vehicle class for your specific travel needs.
Who is responsible for ensuring that luggage fits within the vehicle?
To ensure a comfortable and safe journey for all passengers, the responsibility for verifying baggage capacity lies with the guest. We encourage you to review the following to ensure a smooth trip:
Guest Responsibility: It is the guest's responsibility to ensure that all luggage and personal belongings fit comfortably and safely within the vehicle’s designated storage area.
Proactive Planning: When booking your "With-Driver" service, please inform our team of the number and size of your bags (e.g., check-in suitcases, hand-carry items, or specialized gear). This allows us to recommend the ideal vehicle size for your specific needs.
Safety Standards: For the safety of all passengers, baggage is not permitted to be stored in the passenger cabin or on seats. All items must be securely stowed in the trunk or designated luggage compartments.
Vehicle Capacity: If your luggage exceeds the capacity of the reserved vehicle upon the driver's arrival, the driver reserves the right to decline the excess baggage for safety reasons.

Is my personal luggage covered by insurance?
At Saferide Car Rental, we prioritize the safety of our passengers and our fleet; however, please be advised that our insurance coverage does not extend to personal items, luggage, or belongings brought into the vehicle by guests.
Personal Property Responsibility: You are responsible for your personal belongings, luggage, and valuables throughout the duration of your trip. We strongly recommend ensuring that your personal travel insurance covers the full value of your belongings.
Safety & Security: While our professional chauffeurs are trained to operate with care, Saferide Car Rental is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property left in the vehicle, whether the vehicle is attended or unattended.
Best Practice: Always keep your high-value items, such as passports, electronics, and cash, with you at all times.
What does the passenger accident insurance cover?
At Saferide, your safety during your journey is paramount. Our "With-Driver" service includes Passenger Personal Accident Insurance, which provides financial protection for guests.
Key Coverage Details:
In-Vehicle Coverage: The passenger accident insurance coverage is strictly applicable only while the guest is inside the vehicle during the rental period.
Scope: This policy covers accidental injuries sustained as a direct result of an incident involving the rental vehicle while the passenger is actively on board.
Outside the Vehicle: Please be advised that this coverage does not extend to any time the guest is outside the vehicle, including during stops, at tourist attractions, or while walking to or from the vehicle.
Important Note: Because this coverage is limited to incidents occurring within the vehicle, we strongly recommend that all guests maintain their own comprehensive travel insurance to provide protection throughout the entirety of their trip, including while they are exploring locations outside of our rental vehicle.
Can the rental agreement be terminated by Saferide Car Rental?
Yes. To ensure the safety of our passengers, our drivers, and our vehicles, Saferide Car Rental reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement at any time if there is a breach of the terms and conditions.
Grounds for Termination:
Safety & Policy Violations: Any behavior that endangers the driver, the vehicle, or other passengers, or any refusal to adhere to the safety guidelines outlined in your rental agreement.
Illegal Activities: Use of the vehicle for any purpose that violates local, national, or international law.
Breach of Agreement: Failure to comply with the operational policies agreed upon, such as unauthorized use of the vehicle, harassment of staff, or significant damage to company property.
Misrepresentation: Providing false information during the booking process or regarding the intended use of the rental service.
Consequences of Termination:
Immediate Cessation: In the event of a breach, service will be terminated immediately, and the vehicle will be recalled.
No Refund: As stipulated in our booking policy, any remaining rental time or services will be forfeited, and no refunds will be issued for agreements terminated due to a client breach.
